Bhutanese incense is manufactured with utmost care and in strict conformity by Kesang Poizokhang, a specialist in the manufacture of Bhutanese incense sticks in collaboration with Menjong Indigenous Herbal Medical Centre, Thimpu Bhutan in dedication to world peace and promotion of Buddha Dharma.

Incense burning is an important ritual in all major Buddhist traditions, but the purpose and symbolism of incense are slightly different for each tradition. In Buddhism, incense functions as an offering to the Buddhas, or enlightened ones, as well as a symbol for various aspects of Buddhist belief and an aid to positive thoughts and actions.

Literally “Lady of Long Life”, Tseringma is a powerful goddess believed to reside on the Gaurishankar mountain on the border of Tibet and Nepal. She, along with her four sisters, has vowed to protect Buddhist teachings.
