Lotus Seed Wrist Mala 21 beads 10mm handmade with natural lotus seeds. It has 21 10mm beads and a high quality and very strong white elastic thread.

Lotus seeds are obtained from the lotus flower. Traditionally, lotus seeds were used to treat people with sleep disorders such as insomnia. They are also known to be effective in relieving restlessness. This is due to the natural sedative and calming effects of the seeds. The seeds contain alkaloid constituents that relax the nerves and muscles. They also promote sleep.

The lotus flower is cherished and honoured among Buddhists. The pure and delicate flower emerges from the swamps and slowly develops a beautiful seed head from which these seeds are extracted. These dried seeds are then smoothed and sealed to make a durable prayer bead mala. Its texture, weight and size are ideal for mantras and daily wear.

Wrist malas can be used to replace 108 bead malas in cases where you need to do a practice and don’t have your main mala with you. They are also widely used for doing counting prostrations.

Caring for your mala:

• Please do not wash your mala or wear while bathing or sleeping, as this may weaken the mala’s thread.
• To clean your mala: gently wipe the beads with a damp cloth and place in moonlight or sunlight to dry.
