Copper Serkyem 15cm. In the Buddhist tradition, a Serkyem (golden drink) is filled with tea or alcohol and grains as an offering to local spirits or Dharma protectors (dharmapalas).
Serkyems are often filled with black tea and various grains such as barley, rice, or wheat. Other offerings may include fruit, crackers, bread, and alcohol.
Allowing the liquid to overflow slightly from the upper-standing container is highly auspicious, as it represents the overflow of virtue. It is believed that making this offering every night will please the local spirits and in return, they will at most assist in your activities and at least not create obstacles.
