Resin Kangling for Chod, moulded from resin compound to resemble bone.
Kanglings are used in Vajrayana rituals along with drums and bells, however bone kanglings are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This synthetic version is ideal for both travel and beginner chod practitioners. They are affordable and play well.
Tibetan ritual musical instrument, used for the practice of Chod, but actually ascends in its history to ancient, pre-Buddhist times. Traditionally it was made from human thigh bone and was often decorated with silver and turquoise. At the same time, several strict requirements were imposed on the finished instrument and the bone used for its production. In particular, it was forbidden to make kanglings from the horns and bones of animals, such as yak.
