The Life of the Mahasiddha Tilopa. This book is the Biography of an Indian Buddhist priest Tilopa, 988-1069, the master of Mar-pa Chos-kyi-blo-gros. Thought to have been composed in the 11th century by the famous Tibetan yogi Marpa Lotsawa, it is a compelling account of the “complete liberation” of Naropa’s guru, and belongs to the genre of “Buddhist hagiology”. As such, it will be of interest to followers of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as to those who are fascinated by the lives of Buddhist saints and masters.
